QUINCENARA POLICY
The Guest Priest must be in good standing and have the faculties of the Diocese of Oakland or his own Diocese. Delegation is given when necessary.
The norm for the liturgy is that of Sunday Eucharist, i.e. sung Psalm, sung Eucharistic Acclamations, music for the Communion Procession.
Our Music Minister/Director of Music will assist in the selection and appropriateness of music for the Quincenera liturgy.
Mariachi bands are not allowed in the Quincenera Liturgy but may be present afterwards.
The Quincenera Retreat is given at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Concord, under the direction of Scarlett Salaveria or at Holy Rosary Parish, Antioch. Participation is mandatory for both the candidate and her parents. Arrange for the retreat by calling Scarlett at 925-682-5447, Ext. 24 or you may participate in the preparation program that is offered at Holy Rosary Church, 925-757-4020. Both programs are offered in Spanish only.
* A Late Fee of $100.00 is included in the church fee. If the wedding or quincenera begins on time, the Late Fee is refunded.
